Fior di Sale, also known as salt flakes, is a natural and precious product, hand-harvested in our historic artisanal salt works.

Its light, crumbly consistency comes from the delicate crystallization of sea salt on the surface of the tubs, where wind and sun work in harmony, as per centuries-old tradition.

Thanks to manual harvesting and natural drying, our sea salt flakes retain their organoleptic characteristics, their marine aroma, and their unmistakable texture. Each crystal tells the story of a unique territory: the Trapani and Paceco Salt Pans Nature Reserve, protected by the WWF.

How flavored salt is made
To produce our flavored salt, we at Riserva del Mare use the finest flavored salt combined with top-quality organic citrus fruits (oranges and lemons) and top-quality aromatic herbs.

We don't use pre-made preparations: we peel and process each individual citrus fruit ourselves. We choose the low-temperature drying process that allows the peel's essential oils to be retained. This product will allow you to flavor dishes, season salads, fish, meats, and broths.
